By going through the below steps, most cell phones should be able to be configured to play the song of your choice when someone calls. Along with the ringtone, villagesongs also includes the transliterated words as part of the text message. (Yep, thats right. There should be no excuses now not to be able to sing along with Ой П'є Байда up to the 15th verse, etc.)

(Please check with your provider about MMS charges PRIOR to doing this. Although this website doesn't charge for ringtones, your provider might charge you for getting MMS messages. As an example: Verizon, charges me 25 cents per message- they charge me to send my own ringtone, from my own website, to my own phone, using my own airtime.)

To send a song to your cell,

1. create and account if you have not done so
2. edit your user account by clicking on Edit Account (you must be logged in to use this feature)
3. put your phones MMS email address in the appropriate box in your profile. (it will be something like:1230009999@vzwpix.com)
4. When you are logged in and viewing a song, a new link appears saying "Send to my cellphone as a ringtone". Just click the link!
5. When the message arrives on your phone, you need to save the ringtone in your phones "media gallery" or "ring tone folder".
6. Finally, you then need to go through your cell phones prompts to pick the appropriate tune.

Other information:

As I use Verizon, the MMS email address I used for my phone follows this format: 1230009999@vzwpix.com
So if you have Verizon just replace 123 with your area code, and 0009999 with your cell phone number.

For other providers, make sure you use the MMS email address. Verizon, as an example also supports SMS. Me using 1230009999@vtext.com (my phones SMS email) address WONT WORK) as ringtone attachments wont be handled correctly.

Again, PLEASE make sure you know the costs for MMS messaging, and note that none of these charges have anything to do with this site. We cannot be responsible for what your phone provider does.

I think I found the words.... does anyone know or have the sheet music? If so, please share!

Циганочка молода;
